Where water and housing meet again

The project wants to bring closer two elements that have been opposed in Barcelona, dwellings and water, by restoring the Rec Comtal, a canal that irrigated the old town of Barcelona until the late 19th century. Such restorage is made in an extensive way, by invading the free space inside the blocks.
Each block incorporates a different program: a cultural space in the northern block and a leisure space in the southern one. The flats are located in the south end around a waterfall, so that neighbors can see and listen to it while arriving home. Inside the flats, a diagonal series of spaces also leads to water.
